My review: Isabella Alan is an author whose books I look forward to reading. Although cozy mysteries her books are always fun to read. Murder, Handcrafted lived up to my expectations and was an entertaining read.

Main characters from the previous books in the series combine with new characters to make this book fresh and fun. Angie is a hoot and along with her beloved dog Oliver, and cat Dodger, are off to solve a murder that takes place at her parents’ house. I got such a kick out of reading about her mom’s reactions to everything that I found myself laughing out loud several times. Angie’s dad is so down-to-earth and laid back that he is the perfect balance to Angie’s mom. Dodger and his antics kept me smiling page after page. And we can’t forget Petunia. She makes me want to go get a goat!

I’m not sure any other authors could combine the Amish, a murder, and Bigfoot and create a story that is believable and entertaining. I was kept guessing until the very end as to who the murderer was. I must admit I was completely caught unaware and was shocked when it was revealed.

I highly recommend this book to fans of Amish fiction and those who love funny stories. This story is the perfect mix of serious and funny and is hours of entertaining reading.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion which I have given.
