A Woman of Fortune by Kellie Coates Gilbert (review by Kristi)

A Woman of Furtune

Money. Luxury. Power. Scandal. Starting over. This book has it all. This book starts out like an episode of “Dallas” with a powerful, rich family living a perfect life only to have it come crashing down around them. The story then focuses on Claire and how she rebuilds her life after the dust settles and she has to get used to the new normal that is her life.

This book was so well written and interesting that I couldn’t put it down. The story was very believable and the characters were authentic. It is very apparent the author did her research and wrote a very real, “ripped from the headlines” story. The author did a great job of making you like these, at times, very unlikable people. The story was easy to get into and stay involved in. I just couldn’t put this book down. I had to find out what happened to these people.

Kellie Coates Gilbert is a new-to-me author and I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her books.
